How to Join
The Jobs and Housing Coalition (JHC) is a respected and influential business advocacy group that promotes Oakland's major businesses. We work to enhance economic development, and create a better quality of life for those who live and work in Oakland.
Established in 2006, JHC joins like-minded, senior business executives from Oakland's premier companies who collaborate to make Oakland attractive, competitive, and a premier city in the Bay Area.
JHC’s officers and board members are Oakland’s most significant business leaders.
Gregory McConnell is the President and CEO and primary policy advocate for the organization. Greg has excelled as a policy advocate in California for over twenty years and has an excellent reputation and working relationship with Oakland’s policy makers, government officials, and business and community leaders.
Membership on the Board of Directors is limited to the top executives of leading businesses who share our vision of responsible leadership on quality of life issues through collaborative coalition building and active advocacy. Candidates for senior board membership must be approved by the board of directors.
Given the membership and resources of JHC, we are confident that JHC will play a significant role in helping to make Oakland a truly great city. If you would like to be considered for membership or want additional information about JHC, please contact Greg McConnell at greg_jobsandhousing.com
